the extra weight only makes ruiz punch harder. everything else is the same. he will walk joshua down, take his shots and counter inside. the big if is can he take joshua's big shots again? if he can then joshua will get KOd again.
Extra weight does not make you punch harder, you either have power or you don't.
Look at Jarrell Miller and Deotay Wilder, there weigh does not equate to their power.
Ruiz is just a lazy fat f**** and he will pay for not being weight discipline Saturday night.
Beating Ruiz to the punch in exchanges was the main issue in the first fight. Outside of the knockdowns, Ruiz landed few clean punches on Joshua because he had issues getting in range. When he did get into punching range, he took advantage of AJ being unable to defend himself well against Ruiz' combinations. Except for the 2nd KD, the knockdowns were after Joshua closed range and Ruiz landed his counterpunches. The irony was that one of those exchanges is how Joshua knocked Ruiz down.
If AJ wants to dominate Ruiz, he has to stand his ground, press him, control range with the jab, and break him down with body work. If AJ allows Ruiz to press him, even at 283, Ruiz can fight all day and leaves the door open getting caught with good counter shot or one of the 6 launchings (like the one that provoked the 2nd KD) that Ruiz might have in him.
FORCE = MASS x ACCELERATION. more mass same acceleration means more force. ruiz is already a hard puncher.
Based on what...who has Ruiz stopped with one punch power? I've seen AJ and Wilder do it.
Ruiz is more of a accumulation combination puncher..that how he get you out of there. Being fat isn't doing to help his power, you either can punch or you can't but it will hinder him because he will gas chasing Joshua around throwing punches.
I expected Joshua to take off a couple or three pounds. He took off ten pounds, and most of that was likely muscle. He will be slower, weaker, not have as much pop in his fists, and his stamina will be impacted if he did not lose the weight in an extremely smart way. Now I expect Ruiz to win.
Joshua looks overtrained and drained, dropping 10 pounds of muscle will backfire on him. AJ will gas sooner than HE and everyone else expects. Andy Ruiz Jr shoulders and chest look really solid and he still maintaining the same speed
