I was at the fight and you should have seen all the British fans there, they were talking so much **** and about half way through the fight they were silent as hell. By the end of the fight they were ready to cry before the decision was handed out.
Just watched Hatton Collazo!!!!!!

Hatton wasn't at his best, but anyone who says he didn't win that fight has no credibility. It is plainly moronic to score that fight to Collazo. No-one doubts that it was reasonably close fight but Hatton threw more punches, and landed more punches: 259 of 741 (35%) to 213 of 712 (30%). He also held a massive 254-167 edge in power connects, throwing 637 to Collazo's 471. So Collazo got out worked, out landed, and overpowered. The only thing Collazo did was out-jab Ricky. Hardly surprising at Ricky doesn't have a jab.
It was his first fight at 147. He was the unaminous victor on all scorecards, all TV networks, and amongst all fight fans with a shred of knowledge.
Case closed.Comment

With Hatton's throw-a-combination, then clinch style, his jab's a rumor and it showed in his stats. He landed just 5 of 104 attempts.

Most brit do the same in football.
England didnt win thw WC for many past 3 WC even now with it golden age era it couldnt win a cup and loss to Portgal twice. Anyway my point is on boxing.
If you think that Hatton could have won Kostya Tzyu then you are bigotry brit. because in the judges score card Tzyu was ahead in points when they showed in the showtime scorecard. To be truthful Tzyu could punch at midrange is that if Hatton clinch it would be at a close range. He point his left and give a straight right. If you take away Tzyu striaght right it will be hard for him to KO and another thing if the match was somewhere esle it would be different. Lets just remeber what Hagler did to that brit guy and looks how many bottles they threw at him.
The good thing about Tzyu is that he does not talk too much he is kinda silent and all actionComment

Collazo-hatton was a draw at best. If there is any doubt about who won the fight, it should go to the champion. Hatton will get KO in a rematch and thats way he will never honor his word, like a man he is supposed to be. His next fight probably will be with a title holder/paper champion who is easily beatable like Mausa. Not a very challanging opponent.
Hatton would not destroy Cotto as someone said. It would be a very competitive fight with either getting KO on the later rounds. Iwould put my $$ on Cotto.
Kosta quitted in his stool. His corner said to him that they will stop the fight, he put a little resistance(show) and the fight got stopped. He didn't complained much about the stoppage in the post fight interviewed, like warriors do when their corner stop a fight.Last edited by willnav; 08-02-2006, 09:57 AM.Comment
