If Joe Walcott's old ass was out boxing him every rd before the KO, imagine what Ali would have done. Ali was better than Walcott in every category. The only way Ali would lose is if he got overconfident, let his guard down and get fluke KO'd. Boxing Historians are a bunch of old coots that believe fighters they never seen fight before like Harry Greb would beat the likes of Hagler. They think Sam Langford would beat Klitchkos lol.

I’m pretty sure there were actually multiple scenarios released.

If I remember correctly, the version shown in US theaters had Marciano winning but the version shown in Europe had Ali winning.

            Yes I know about this.
I love Marciano but IMHO he doesn’t beat Ali unless it’s the old Ali that fought Shavers.

In 1969 nobody knew Ali had an adamantium chin yet, because he hadn't fought Frazier yet, so Marciano's chances were probably overstated. But IIRC the simulation really showed that the fight was a toss-up, which makes some sense - Marciano was a good left-hooker and Ali had already been dropped twice by that punch. But they didn't know at the time that you could shoot a left hook out of cannon and Ali would still get up from it.
