No, he will still be fast, still throw in combinations. he can take AJ's power, AJ can't. Ruiz TKO incoming.

Of course it will. How can a boxer who is already fatter than hell get better by coming in fatter than ever? If that's the case then all pro boxers should gain about 20 pounds of blubber to become better fighters. I changed my pick from Ruiz winning to AJ winning when I heard what Ruiz weighed in at. How hard did Ruiz train to gain more fat than ever? Just what he did not need.

Ruiz learned 2 things from the first fight...

1- He can take Joshua's best shots...

2- He can flatten Joshua on volume...

I think his plan for Saturday is pretty obvious... Get inside at all cost and bully U.K's hope in the first half of the fight... He never intended to look like a ballerina anyway...

I think he will be ok.

His hands are still quick and his game is to get close to AJ and bully him and land short punches. The extra weight might help with that.

AJ is the one who needs to move and keep it long, but he can’t box and move for 12 rounds. Even with the weight loss for AJ, he hasn’t got the ring craft to do it without tiring. It takes a long time to know how to take breathers, slow the pace etc. It’s a craft. So even if AJ tried to box and move, it won’t be at a high pace or he won’t be able to sustain it, so Ruiz’s stamina with his weight might not be a problem.

So i don’t think it’ll be too much of an issue. That said, why come in so much heavier for a fight that you won convincingly in your last fight?

No it won’t, he’ll still be the same guy..... Ruiz isn’t some non stop volume puncher either and he attacks in bursts, he can be passive in rounds so he doesn’t need to be lighter for increased stamina. The onus is firmly on Joshua to find the answers to beat him. If he’s the top HW we thought he was before the loss then he will.
