Joshua did what he had to, to make himself feel better. But not sure how much it will help in the fight.

I was backing AJ to win before he lost all that weight. Now I think Ruiz will win. I feel AJ's loss was more tactical than anything to do with his weight. He needed that weight/power to keep Ruiz off him. Now Ruiz can walk him down even easier and get to that weak chin.

JOSHUA has the Vladimir Klitschko syndrome. As soon as they get head checked, their legs are gone. you can't train for that. either you can take a punch or not.

Pretty sure the ref and the judges will be giving AJ their full support.

Yes you do. Calling someone a fraud in the division, implies that someone else must be the real deal.

What I really want to say is that you're probably not the smartest guy around and when I read your comment I laughed out loud and thought to myself whether you actually understand the words you type or not.

              The Whisker Exam favors Ruiz...

I def see AJ going the Klit route and Jab, Jab, Clinch his way to victory.. a slow, boring UD.

I think it reflects badly on him if he does it tho.. he needs to try and make a statement, but unfortunately that plays right into Ruiz's hands.

Were you doing intense boxing training, running, sparring etc when you had the injury? I'm guessing no.
Boxing training is totally different on your body than just lifting weights in the gym.
That's one of the reasons I thought he looked juiced. He had too much bulk for a boxer that had been training hard.
He's the most obvious peds cheat in world sport. It's well known he's got a TUEs exemption so he can legally take peds.

Im certain AJ doesn't care how he wins. Look at how far they went with the dodgy parker fight ref that made certain a fight didn't break out. They didn't care it was horrible to watch then.

Also, what was the ref supposed to do, wait for him to get his gumshield back in, THEN see if he's ready to box on? That's not how it works. Same would apply for loose tape, or whatever else. Priority #1: Can you continue. Plus, I've never seen a ref look at a guy with his arms on the ropes and be like, 'OK yep you seem ready to continue'. No. You raise your hands, you stand in front of the ref and you listen to what he says. I appreciate your opinion anyway, it's interesting how we can look at the same thing and see something different. I suspect a quit, and you're more willing to give the HW champion of the world the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he doesn't know how a boxing match works
The ref was supposed to pick up AJ's gum shield and take him to his corner to have it rinsed off and put back in his mouth, but I'm not sure about the protocol for doing that after a KD. I think it's "box on" first, then call an immediate time out to take care of the gum shield, but like I said, I'm not 100% sure.

It looked to me like the ref ordered them to box on, then immediately changed his mind and decided that AJ wasn't in any fit state to continue, which I think was the right decision. Whether he wanted to carry on or not, he was basically done by that point.

If a boxer beats the count and tells the ref he wants to fight on, I don't think it's in order for anybody to say he quit based on body language alone. I've boxed competitively myself and I know what it's like to get decked, get up wanting to carry on fighting, and have the ref stop the fight because even though I told him I was ok, he could see that I really wasn't.
