MCC will do anything to spin the PPV buys that Wilder-Ortiz 2/PBC just got. Tell a consistent story. You're critical of ESPN, Dazn, Arum and Hearn.
Considering the guaranteed purses of Wilder and Ortiz, as well as the other fighter's on this card, this had to be the biggest loss in PPV history.Comment

you just sonned dat foo. Hell canelo has driven more subscriptions than pbc ppvs LmaooooComment

PPV is dead, people aren't going to spend money on these fights unless they are of the highest standard and the fighters involved are well known and capture the interest of the general public. In this era where streams are easy to find the PPV model can't survive, they need to drop the prices for starters or at the very least improve the quality of the fight cards DRASTICALLY..... I mean they were charging $80 for the Wilder vs Ortiz PPV and the undercard was complete trash, that is before you get to a main event that wasn't in demand. When the UFC does PPV events the cards are stacked with fights that fans want to see.Comment

If I read the article correctly, PBC accounted for 1,525,000 (not counting Wilder/Ortiz) PPV's sold in 2019. If Wilder/Ortiz only sold 138,000 (which we go with just to make the f-ckboys that hate Haymon happy), that is 1,663,000 PPVS in 2019.
At an average of $74.99 that is $124,708,300.00.
Now whether you like Haymon or hate him, how can anyone suggest the PBC PPV market is dead when it generated close to $125,000,000?
Or let me ask it this way-If you are a pro dazn poster on this site, knowing PPV can still account for $125 mil in a year do you consider doing PPVs?Comment

Canelo is no longer a PPV fighter. These are old numbers from the old system. You can't suggest he is generating those same numbers on dazn because the article points at dazn having about 800k subscribers in the US.
If you are Canelo and you are looking at this, do you think he wants back on PPV or wants to stay on dazn?Comment

Output deals are exclusive both ways for those that don't know. That's why you don't see anyone but PBC fighting at Barclays while others gotta rent out MSG. Barclays pays PBC to have fights there.Comment

Thats wrong. An output deal doesn’t have to be exclusive. Like DAZN isn’t exclusive to Matchroom. Keep trying to spin doeComment

I didn’t say Canelo’s PPV numbers and streaming numbers are the same. Just pointing out to your fellow “Til this day” brother that Canelo’s PPV numbers are levels above what PBC does no matter how much it hurts.Canelo is no longer a PPV fighter. These are old numbers from the old system. You can't suggest he is generating those same numbers on dazn because the article points at dazn having about 800k subscribers in the US.

In regards to Canelo, I doubt he gives a f**k if he’s on PPV or not, he’s still getting paid, LMAO. And I don’t give a s**t what he’s earning, I’m just glad his fights are cheaper to watch.
Now from a business perspective PPV is a whole lot safer than DAZN’s model. We’ll see if they survive. Hopefully for the fans sakes they do.
Just makes no sense to buy Wilder vs. Ortiz II for $80 when you can buy Canelo vs. Kovalev and Ruiz vs. Joshua II plus whatever other fights they have during those 2 months for $40.
PBC should just do their PPVs on dates not close to DAZNs big fights because the customers aren’t ******.Comment
