Never mind the first knock down when Ruiz went down what about the 2nd shot AJ hit him with flush in the face and Ruiz didn't even wobble. If that's the kind power Ruiz can handle AJ has no choice but to break Ruiz down one step at a time.

ever see Buster Douglas against Holyfield?...Duran-Leonard 2? Didn’t even bother getting up...at least Aj got up from knockdowns each timeComment

I'm pretty sure any boxer would batter their sparring partners because they are usually a lot worse in skill than the fighter. Joshua is ranked top 5-6. He has a poor chin so he must have something going for him in terms of boxing skills and power
This means nothing, other than it's good that Joshua is sparring more.Last edited by Roberto Vasquez; 12-03-2019, 11:36 AM.Comment

You have to think what other boxer could take a shot like that after being put down. Very few. If I was Ruiz I'd walk Joshua down in this fight, with lots of head movement and take a few punches to land my own. Ruiz has to KO Joshua. Joshua has to play the long game - trying to wear Ruiz down from a distance. Can't see it going any other way. However Joshua is very aggressive in all his fights, I think he will take risks at some point. It's like he can't help it.Comment

he won by stoppage, not by a robbery decision, etc. this aint a fluke. if he lose in the rematch then that just means aj was the better fighter this time. but make no mistake, ruiz win over aj the first time was no fluke. the mofo stopped aj! lol.Comment

Great effort from AJ, amazing standing up ability.
He only stood up so he could get over to the corner and hide and get away from the chubby mexican.
Lets hope he doesnt quit this time, and leaves on a stretcher like he deserves.Comment
