Katie Taylor looked great in her early Pro career, but does not react well to getting hit in the head with no headguard. She is lucky that women have very little power or she'd have got stopped by Persoon. Didn't look to have made any adjustments in her last fight either.
Braekhus won every round easily, plus she put Bustos down for the first time in her career even though the ref missed the call. Bustos is the reigning IBF Super lightweight champ and former IBF lightweight champ. She came up one division for the fight.

Braekhus has beaten everybody there is to beat. Mia St John, Mikaela Lauren twice, Anne Sophie Mathis (who KO'd Holly Holm and then lost a close decision in the rematch) twice, Ivana Habazin, Kali Reis, Chevelle Hallbeck, Jessica Balogun twice, Myriam Lamare, Klara Svensson, Erica Farias, etc.

She will easily dominate Katie Taylor if Hearn is dumb enough to make that fight. Taylor was too small to beat Persoon; Braekhus is bigger and better.

Why is Braekhus ducking Claressa Shields then?

Why is Shields trying to get out of the Habazin fight, when Braekhus already dominated Habazin?

Braekhus has been a 2 belt champ for over 10 years in the same division. She's not hard to find. She's been a 4 belt undisputed champ over 5 years. Anybody with a belt in another weight class who wanted to could force a mandatory.

Shields is going to easily defeat Habazin, then will take all of Braekhus' titles to become a four-weight champion. Easily. And Braekhus was out of the ring for 2 years so it doesn't really count as one continuous reign.

14 months =/= 2 years. She fought at the end of 2014 and then the second month of 2016.

She was never stripped of any belt and in her first fight after the 14 month layoff she won the IBO, and has defended all five belts a further 8 times in 3 years.

If Shields gets all the way down to 147, Braekhus will outpoint her. Guaranteed.

Great to have female matches to look forward to. No matter what, Katie Taylor fights are a star on the calender among others. Sorta torn between going to 3 minute rounds or stay with 2. I like the action of a 2 minute round. Ko's are overrated sometimes and we will surely get alot more stoppages in 3 minute rounds. You all know what that means. Easily fixed without embarrassing the judges. Just look at Saturday's outcome with Valdez and Lopez.. Btw.Katie Taylor beats em all!!

                Katie all the way. War!

Persoon was a superwelter against a lightweight that night.
Stay where you are most comfortable, Katie.

My guess would be , she doesn’t want any harm done to her and her family or her entourage for that matter

It's true that Persoon is bigger than Taylor, but Persoon came at 130 lb on the scales vs Katie, (while Tylor came at 134)... Last time, Persoon fought at super feather, while Tylor just fought at super light (140)... Now go figure...
