ESPN should trash their contract with Arum if that's the case.... see what kinda of TV contract Macao gives him.

Arum's cards aren't doing so well because they're not good cards.... rather than rethink that and I try to give the public something they want, they're going to take the fights to the other side of the world to get a big site fee from the casinos there and then show the fights people didn't want to see as a reply or an odd time in ESPN.

Dana White hit the nail on the head when he told Mannix that boxing promoters treat everything like a "going out of business sale."

It's not boxing promoters; it's Bob Arum. To paint that on everyone is a disservice to the sport.

The PBC umbrella hasn't chased short money, the promoters who end up on ShoBox are doing great things to invest, even the small club shows are trying things out.

Arum has promoted in SE Asia and the Pacific for years, my bet is he will be targeting China and perhaps Japan. It should be good for boxing generally as it will promote a wider interest in the sport and more exposure for boxers.

Some of those fights make sense, but expecting the China, Saudi interest to fizzle out after a year or so like Macau fights did. Chechnya doesn't sound like a smart choice but money talks

That's cool. I take it the money is there. Why else would they be building an arena in Saudi? I know Hearn aint floatin the bill on that so my guess is the money's there. China is just getting their feet wet and have some really good fighters including their own monster.. I'm all for oversees matches. I like checking out the venues and how they display the bouts. Did anyone notice the ringside seats feasting in Japan during the Inoue bout? Pretty cool. Or catch a venue in Kenya, they're on their feet dancing the whole time.. Where I've noticed Thailand is standing room only except for the honored guests who get seats. Its all cool because there is one common denominator that speaks all languages and that's boxing.

Dark days ahead for Top Rank if they can't turn this around. ESPN gave him all that money and what did he do with it? Sign a bunch of guys without vowels in their name.

ESPN is an American company. They want American stars whose star power can be exported around the world.

Last weekend's cards was good. But the only reason it was good is because Adames vs Tiexeira was ordered by the WBA. McCreary and Lopez weren't the original opponents. If the original card had went ahead it would've ******. Arum is stuck in the old school ways of promoting

He is literally following the same blueprint promoters were following that hastened HBO’s exit from boxing. All these foreign fighters.....it appears the vast majority of American fighters are fighting on the PBC airwaves. I would also add that Arum just doesn’t seem intersted in promoting the sport the way it needs to be promoted which isn’t reinventing the wheel...boxing did an excellent job of promoting in the 80s and 90s. Maybe Arum is just too old for the sport

I don't think it'll be a problem. The Loma-Campbell fight was in the afternoon because Hearn is a dumbass. When Top Rank is the lead promoter fights are usually on primetime in the US.
