I feel bad because both young men seem like decent sorts. You want things to end well for everyone...i have always liked Ruiz as a fighter and knew back when, that he had talent. But when I see Aj he almost looks unkempt and just not ready. The dad in me feels concern for AJ. Boxing is a brutal game psychologically. When someone's blueprint is exposed, it isn't going to go away...at least not in the professional ranks.

AJ might well have problems sparring. Ruiz may have shown him to be limited against a fighter with real weapons who can apply pressure.
I think his style gives Wilder issues also. He throws a lot of combos. These guys dont see that much.

I saw an ITV interview and the interviewer asked AJ if they'll be belts around his waist the next time they speak. AJ said

"IDK, I'm not that type of person. They'll be somewhere but no matter what I'm a champion at heart"

Wilder's reach and the threat of his right hand stops guys from throwing lots of combos.

Maybe all he cares about is that $75 million dollar check clearing.

This is a cash out. AJ will try to win but at the slightest sign of adversity he's done. Raising the PPV price & running to Saudi. Arabia has cash out written all over it. But they're doing a good job of convincing people AJ has a chance to win

Well, if he wins this fight maybe we'll see. I dont think Wilder like to fight off his back foot.

There was a time when Josh was seen as very hard to beat.

Might be true but I never listen to rumours about people’s sparring.
Yeah, whether the rumors are true or not, sparring is sparring. If it meant all that much, the sparring partner doing the “beating up” would be world champion...but he’s not.

From what I've seen in videos I think AJ looks good. He looks sharp and quick on the mitts at least and his physique looks better from a boxing point of view. Now the mental part is the thing I can't really get a read on. He started acting strange to me during the leadup to the first fight and it's kinda still going on so I don't know.

                      Well, well, well.........conflicting reports

Some reports that came out said that AJ looked really good in sparring and now we get reports that AJ is getting beat up in sparring.

Well we will find out the truth soon enough, won't we.
