Crawford is making the same mistake as Golovkin

It's because its not bust for him, Crawford wanted good money and obviously Arum put a very good offer to him. He has got him taking part as a PPV fighter he is the face of Top Rank, you go to DAZN and you just become one of many I guess similar to PBC. Big fights can still happen though with rival promotions, wouldn't be surprised at all If we see Crawford fight Taylor somewhere down the line 2020/2021.Comment

GGG made like $100 million+ 'waiting' on Canelo...people hate/love people on here mainly based on non-boxing factors imo, so all these guys may as well chase the money...guys can be great and get no credit from some, so no sense in following the blueprint of those fans...they just want to see that guy fail, not like they are really trying to help the guy out lol.
The Spence fight for TC is different too because I don't think it sells quite like GGG-Canelo...Canelo is just a bigger star than any of those guys and the combo of him and GGG made it a huge fight...Spence-Crawford should do 1 million buys but it would probably do half of that...PPV is just dead really.
Crawford will be fine...he is a great talent and shows that every time he steps into the ring...as long as he takes care of himself the next few years he will build a fine legacy and should make some good money...Spence fight does make sense for TC to push for though, as it at least was conceivably his biggest money and legacy fight.
Not sure anymore after Spence's accident though...kind of makes things uncertain around that weight.Comment

I distinctly remember being on here in the lead up to that fight...as you said, it was legit 50/50 going in...but as always happens in those cases, Postol becomes a 'bum' and TC doesn't get the credit he deserves...people will hate regardless, just the way it is.I think his shutout win aganst Postol is a career defining win on his resume. Yeah, it was at 140, but that fight stamped who the undisputed at that weight class was.
Remember, after postol sparked out Matthysse, many fans were calling this a 50/50 fight, and a lot of fans were predicting Postol to beat TC. And what did TC do? White washed him.Comment

Yep 100%...that fight was 50/50 going in but because TC dominated, people changed their minds it seems...Comment

Also...to be fair to GGG...where were all these other legacy fights for him to fight around the time of Canelo...Ward resurfaced after GGG signed to fight Lemieux, and the Cotto-Canelo winner was due for GGG after those fights...made sense to stay at 160 and take that fight next.
Even staying at 160...GGG has fought Brook, Jacobs, Canelo twice, and then SD after Lemieux...what 5 fights could be possibly have taken after Lemieux that would have been better for his legacy? those were 5 of his last 8 fights...without getting into fantasy and saying he could go up to 175 and face xyz and then back down to 160 to face abc..clearly GGG's best course of action for legacy and money was to stay at 160 and do basically exactly what he's done so far since Lemieux.Comment

Terrance Crawford don't be like Floyd and the Floyd Boys, blaming everybody except yourself for why you can't get the fights made. That phenomenon hopefully ended with Floyd's last exit.
Nobody wants to hear the excuses.
We have enough Larry's and Big Dunns as it is, wanting to give their favorite fighter full credit for beating guys way outta their prime, and crying because nobody wants to acknowledge two geezers fighting for a big payday, or having sense enough to realize that ain't two prime guys getting down for the crown.Comment

Even though Hopkins had the amount of defenses that he had, I could only imagine how much **** Golovkin would've got if he rematched any of the guys he beat, not only more than 1 guy but rematching a guy twice. At least his defenses were against all different guys.Comment
