People read too much into these videos.

How many times have people said certain fighters look shook, and they’re not at all and win convincingly.

At the end of the day, all fighters are going to say the right things to sell their side of the fight and why they’re going to win. AJ can talk about going back to basics, being hungry etc.. it still doesn’t mean he can take a shot any better. Ruiz can say the money and fame hasn’t changed his mentality, maybe it hasn’t, but he’s not going to say anything but that is he?

AJ still bothers me. It feels like his belief in himself is built on self help books.

How does that stand up when the going gets tough against a guy who really seems comfortable with what he has to do?

I think Ruiz came out of that well. I just think, physically, AJ has too much going in his favour. If he can keep him at range he can take him to the later rounds and break Andy.

Should be a great fight with both men prepared to dig deep. My only fear is that it’s a case of mutual cold feet with neither man wanting to trade and fight. However even that can only last so long before the exchanges start. I’m looking forward to this one!

I'm taking Ruiz in the rematch. Just a bad style matchup for AJ. Ruiz is real good at getting on the inside and countering with combinations while his opponent misses. I just don't think AJ is smart enough and quick enough in the ring to adjust and react when he's countered like that.

I think it was Haye that brought up a good point in the way Joshua fights in that roundtable he did with Froch, Bellew, and Malignaggi. He talked about AJ's inability to slip punches and how he just goes into his high guard when attacked. I think those combos of Ruiz will clip him again and he won't know how to stop the onslaught

I relate a lot with AJ. I tend to be a cerebral guy, spend a lot of time in my head....it's easy to become too detached from reality this way.

I'm hearing a guy in Andy Ruiz who is 10 toes down firmly engaged and ready to battle and win.

I'm hearing a guy in AJ who is detached from it all. Looking down at it all from some elevated height, philosophizing about everything...but not firmly engaged in it.

Honestly, I'm hoping AJ wins because I feel it is better for boxing to have him around in top contention....but if any of the pre-fight stuff serves as indication, AJ may be in for a very difficult night

Btw you should learn mindfulness, if you haven’t already. Just some friendly advice, speaking from experience.
I used to drift off into my own world when I was younger. Mindfulness is about mastering your thoughts and being present and focused. Buddhism was based on the same ideas thousands of years ago.
