It would be interesting to see the structure of this deal from Fox's side. If Fox didn't lose money on this then Haymon and or the PBC investor's definitely did.
There are no investors in PBC anymore. Haymon already made them bankrupt. And why would PBC, a promotional outfit, pay a boxer out of its own pocket when it’s entitled to a percentage of the boxer’s purse?

It’s propaganda to make the money look big - the guy didn’t make half of what they claimed he made in the Breazeale fight. And the only reason Showtime paid more than the normal $1.5million they pay him per fight is because they’re banking on getting the AJ fight. However, now that the fight is unlikely, hence they dropped the Ortiz fight.

Get your moist crap out of my thread, you flaming phaggot.

Over 50% of you yanks are either straight phaggots or on the DL. So it’s not shocking the type of fruity/wet nonsense you idiots like spouting everywhere. Fu.kking wasteman.

PPV numbers don’t matter...We live in a age where we can get around paying for a PPV...Ring announcers never mention the number of PPVs a fighter helped sell during the introductions...the only numbers that matter are the wins, losses, draws, and knockouts

According to Tstreet Controversy who is one of the unbiased Boxing youtubers, Al gives his cut to investors because he owed them so much money, after blowing 600m on time buys.

Actually Showtime/PBC had to pay Wilder more after the DAZN offer to Wilder.

Not sure if any Wilder fights have turned any profits. Showtime put up money because Haymon owns Espinoza. And there is the ponzi scheme of Joshua vs Wilder looming but all signs are that Haymon and Wilder will avoid that KO loss to AJ by any means necessary. As they have so far.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao was not supposed to happen, Floyd and Haymon never wanted it. But head of showtime Les Moonves stepped in and gave an ultimatum forcing Floyd and Haymon to stop ducking and make the fight.

That’s basically why I said PBC can’t afford to pay anyone due to how much Haymon is owing investors. It’s also why they keep their fights in-house to maximise all the profits and why they want to create a PBC belt.

I won’t be surprised if PBC were to move to DAZN in the nearest future. None of these PBC guys are getting paid anything significant, apart from Spence and Pacman. All that under the table extra money on the backend is pure lies. They don’t even have sponsors apart from TV deals. So where are they getting the money from?

Has anyone actually reported that it did well?

Putting aside this whole tiresome US vs Europe/UK spat, this was a PPV that was not needed or demanded at all. When you factor in that Wilder is not yet a true star in this sport and the US audience not being receptive to most fights then it all points to the PPV bombing.

I'm not going the sad route of "hahaha the PPV flopped......" but it's definitely a case of "I told you so....." cause this fight should NEVER have been a PPV and everybody said this.
