Ortiz thought he did everything right and got into the WBA mandatory position BEFORE the Joshua-Klitschko fight, only to get bypassed by Joshua.

You keep overlooking the fact that Ortiz made an agreement with the WBA to fight Vidondo for the interim title on the condition that he would fight Jennings then Ustinov. He fought Jennings then after that fought Tony Thompson. The Ustinov fight was available for May and Ortiz said no, then there was a purse bid for that fight and Ortiz still refused. That is why the WBA stripped him.

He broke the contract and yet folks expect him to fight for the WBA world title then? Not gonna happen.

2. Turning down a fight doesn't mean a fighter will lose or is afraid to lose.
3. You still made zero correlation between the predicted results of a proposed fight between Ortiz and Whyte (whom he said yes to fighting) and a fight between Joshua and Ortiz that didn't happen.

...and yet he remained #1 in the WBA rankings and Klitschko was #2. Joshua was the IBF champion and wasn't ranked in the WBA. When Ortiz signed with Matchroom, they enticed him with the Klitschko fight, but somehow Joshua took his place and Ortiz was sidelined. Essentially, Joshua AND Klitschko were able to avoid fighting Ortiz for the WBA belt.

Ortiz did say no to fighting AJ. His own trainer and manager verified that. It isn't an opinion, it is a fact.

Both Jimenez and Ortiz are on record asking Hearn to not walk away from negotiations but to make a deal. Understandably Hearn moved on. That's the facts.
