Frank Warren says that he believes Zolani Tete can win bantamweight unification fight against Naoya Inoue providing he successfully defends his WBO title against John Riel Casimero on Saturday night in Birmingham. Tete, the 31-year-old South African, has been out of the ring for more than a year after suffering a shoulder injury that forced him to pull out of his World Boxing Super Series semi-final against Donaire. Inouye beat Donaire in the final of the WBSS, but Warren believes Tete stands a serious chance against the Japanese superstar.

Tete has the range and he knows how to stink out the joint. If he fights in his usual boring style, he probably will last a bit longer than others.

I like casimero but he is overmatched against Tete. Tete has this fight under control.

Tete reminds me of Lara in terms of entertainment level. Once in a blue moon youll catch him scoring an eye catching KO but in general he is boring as ***. That’s why nobody talks about him. He was a non factor before he joined the tourney.

Not too long ago he fought this 4-0 something novice midget and he got hit way too many times. Had that been inoue or Nery in there, ohh man tete would have got seriously hurt.
