  • Comments Thread For: Whyte Ring Return Won't Affect WBC Ranking Despite UKAD Delay

Dillian Whyte has been cleared to fight by the World Boxing Council (WBC), that is. Mixed reviews came from the news of the heavyweight contender landing on the undercard of the Dec. 7 rematch between Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua, which takes place in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. Matchroom Boxing's Eddie Hearn confirmed months-long speculation of his next fight taking place on that show, as it was announced on Wednesday that England's Whyte (26-1, 18KOs) will face Poland's Mariusz Wach (35-5, 19KOs).

Most times my head spins trying to make sense of this all.
    Multiple organizations.
Absolutely no uniformity in testing standards.
Unequal punishment meted out for what may be the same infraction.
What may be illegal in one org may get a pass in another.
What may be illegal in one country may get a pass in another.
and on and on and on..
The fight game just sux like that!!

I won't waste my time commenting about his failed drug tests but Wach should give him some stay busy rounds but I expect Whyte to be able cruise to a wide UD or possibly get the stoppage...

Take that L off Oscar Rivas' record.

And make Rivas vs. Kownacki for the interim title.

Maybe there will be a public stoning on the undercard

It's the WADA process, followed by every major national drug testing agency.
