Wepner did knock Ali down I believe in the fight though. I'm not sure if Ali was hurt though.

He steped on Ali's left foot I was watching it on a tape i have and they did slow mo replay of it not sure if it was called or not.

Ali is hitting him 1 2 1 2 trys a right cross but it's a mis wep is falling all over the place comes off the left side ropes then Ali lands with the right cross Wep goes down in the back side of the ring. he looks like he will make it up but is out of it the ref calls off the count at 8
