As if the outcome would have been any different if Nery made weight.

Rodriguez should have took the whooping and the money but oh well. He wants to live to fight another day. Guess we cant blame em

You’re better than this. How many times has Nery done this. Add in a failed PED test. There’s your punkass move

Navarette is waiting for him, like a dog waiting for a bone. Nery needs to stay at 118.

Nery is a cheat like JMM and many mexican fighters.

Ultimately this is a major warning sign not just for Nery but for networks and promoters. If I'm a network or promoter I'm going to have to think twice about having Nery on my televised card. If I'm a promoter I have to work extra hard to convince a network to put Nery on the televised card and if I'm a network I have to wonder if Nery is going to make weight and if he doesn't will the fight be cancelled last minute? Right now Nery is a liability.

Ultimately even though they didn't fight Rodriguez handed Nery a L. I wouldn't be surprised if Nery heads to 122 after this.

Surely the only cowardly act is refusing to lose more weight when you've weighed in heavy? If Rodriquez didn't want the fight, he wouldn't have accepted it. Wanting to fight on fair terms, doesn't make somebody cowardly - just sensible (especially given Nery's history)

*edit* I've just read the thread and happy to see that in this rare case, almost everyone is in agreement with this. (Nery fans aside)

Actually he's not "better than this". He's a Mexican clown whose opinion will flip flop based on whatever is beneficial to the Mexican.
