    Scully.

Up until recently you haven't been online much.
I been meaning to ask you something for quite some time now.
Despite the arguments and beef you had with my boy Juice and all that other stuff, what did you really think of Benn, Watson, and Eubank?

Good fighters, all of them. I don't think any of them compete well with RJ or Toney at 168 but they are all good.

Toney said in an interview back in the day that Eubank would be the most difficult fighter for him to beat.

Jones said in an interview back in the day that Eubank was the one fighter who would cause him problems.

Eubank has the style to beat Toney nine times in 10, Toney is never near his best outside of a close-quarters fight.

Benn KO's Jones. No question. Benn would of been dropped himself, hurt and humiliated, but six rounds with Benn is too many rounds for your boy to escape.

I don't think Benn would of beaten Toney - I don't think anybody beats Toney in a close-quarters (he's the slickest infighter that ever lived). And I don't know if Eubank would out-point Jones.. Jones was a beast at 168 and never tired. He was certainly slicker and silkier than Jones, but Jones was an animal back then.

Well, this is all I can find on the net (I'd have to find the magazine and get my scanner working for Toney's, and the tool to convert VHS for Jones's)..

Even that obnoxious git James Toney, who showed
no respect for Benn, said a couple of years ago that he thought of all
the middleweights Eubank would be hardest to figure out.

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/rec...a2c88b3d8e9f71 (move up to post 11)

I met Roy Jones in 01 and asked him if it was true that he had said in about 93 that the only person he thought would give him trouble was me. He said yes.

Not suprising that this was their thoughts, Eubank was extremely slick and extremely awkward. But suprising they'd admit it.. almost like admitting defeat.

THATS A LIE because RJ told me himself that he considered Michael Nunn a very difficult fight. I won't go into details on what he said exactly because it isnt my place to say his quotes but he definitely respectd Nunn

I personally think Nunn would of beat Roy Jones. Roy was having trouble with southpaws up until he went to LHW and started fighting a whole **** load of them (the Telesco's and all of that).

I thought Nunn could of beaten Jones, too. Nunn at his best (before he ****** his career up his nose after KOing Kalambay) would of definately beaten Jones at MW.

If I was a middleweight champion in the late 80's or early 90's, the fighters I wouldn't want anything to do with would be Michael Nunn, Herol Graham, and most of all Chris Eubank. I'm trying to put myself in that position right now, I honestly don't know how I'd fight Eubank. He had such a strange style, made such strange moves, and would of frustrated the hell out of you. The way he'd step into a punch then leap back just out of range as soon as it landed must of gave his opponents fits, and the way he'd just dropped his hands by his sides and walk around the ring then suddenly spring a punch and shift away again. I just would not want to fight that guy, unless he had something I wanted.
