He definitely experienced some beatings in sparring last camp that probably really rocked him mentally before the fight.
He talks now about having a brutal camp of sparring and being in pain, implying guys are kinda punishing him...Maybe he thinks this will harden him mentally.
          Wishing him all the luck
I'm a little concerned this is actually AJ revealing he's been hurt in sparring. He's been very honest about fear and self doubt. I hope we aren't looking at price 2.0

Yeah he's a cerebral, psychological kinda guy. Guys like this can be their own worse enemy at times. I wouldn't be surprised if he has sought out punishment in sparring just to try and harden himself mentally and emotionally.

I don't like what I hear from him in interviews. Even if he wins this scrap, it doesn't bode well for eventually taking on guys like Wilder or Fury.

Depends on what happens next. Wlad tried to regroup but couldn't quite get there without Steward's help. I really think that Joshua is going to need to change his game a little if he's going to have a long run at the top.

The difference is that Lewis got caught and stopped. Joshua took a sustained beating. It’s gonna be hard to come back from that. I’m not sold AJ is mentally tough enough and I’m damn sure not sold that he’s anywhere near the quality of fighter Lewis was.

Many industry acknowledged a previous sparring session, and many industry said you're not supposed to instigate what was done in the ring, and lastly, many didn't like that if AJ truly had a minor concussion going in, or a head injury that made him feel shaky, then all these bits will make a difference in a fighter going in without such problems.

Tbh, I'm not worried nor care if any of that was completely true. I think AJ will come in a LOT better. I honestly think Ruiz Jr. is overlooking this fight if they plan to come in with the same game plan.

Two different fights with nothing to do with each other.
