The best Hughie can hope for in 2020 is a shot at the British, European(EBU) or Commonwealth title's. I'd like to see him fight DDD in the new year.

What kind of checker are you?
There were both champions.
Damn it.Comment

They will never learn with this guy same pattern as always. Fight low level guys jump to world level , lose . Repeat
They need to build him up with the right fights before having him go in against the best. Work his way up against decent contenders. Let his career gain momentumComment

What is Hearn thinking putting Hughie on in Monte Carlo? It’s a bad enough fight night with the casino atmosphere. Now he’s got an ultra boring fighter on the card.
I get the feeling Hearn pre-spent some of the Canelo money on crack which is why he’s pulling terrible robberies and putting on terrible fightsComment

Why they keep trying over and over again?, he has proven many times over he sucks....has no power what so ever. Hows he gonna get a title shot in 2020, all the belts are gonna be tied up between mandatories and big fights. Maybe for some random other non major belt.Comment

Not sure how. He keeps losing when he steps up.
Every time it’s the same. The fight finishes, Peter says Hughie has a lot to work on and will come back much more aggressive and throw shots. As soon as he steps up, he doesn’t do it.
Hughie seems to have a very good chin though and he’s tough, i’ll give him that. He just lacks some real grit in the ring. Would we even be talking about him much if he didn’t have the name Fury?
I know it’s lazy to compare him and Tyson, but with Tyson, you know when things get heavy in the ring, he will show some real balls and tough it out to get the win. Hughie just goes into a shell and doesn’t really fight back. He’s just tough and slippery enough to survive against good fighters but not win.
He’s his own worst enemy in a way. He could’ve won that Parker fight if he just threw a bit more. It was there for the taking but he just tried to steal rounds. I think there’s a decent fighter in there somewhere, maybe he just needs to be built up properly and get confidence, rather than jumping up too far in levels, losing then going back down. He’s still a young HeavyweightLast edited by deathofaclown; 11-26-2019, 06:18 AM.Comment
