Ike Ibeabuchi has a better resume than Deontay Wilder

Let’s stop making these “Is Wilder better than ___” and “Wilder is the best ever” threads.

    Just stop it.

Is he a top three heavyweight right now? Yes.

Might he be the best heavyweight of his era? Yes.

But that’s it right now. He has more to do and there’s no reason to go insane the way a few of you are.

So I present you with this debate instead. Who has the better resume? Deontay Wilder or Ike Ibeabuchi?

The answer is Ibeabuchi. He stood toe to toe with David Tua and out fought him.

Ibeabuchi also dominated and knocked out Chris Byrd.

Both those fighters are better than anyone Wilder has ever beaten.

I thought he lost to Tua but either way Ike never beat a decent HW standing taller than 6'.

Ibeabuchi was too crazy to be a champion, but, man was he talented.

My point is why the f**k are we comparing Wilder to some of the best fighters ever when a random guy who was in the top 10 for a few years in the 1990s and only fought 20 times has a better resume?

There’s hundreds of heavyweights who rank above Deontay Wilder throughout history.

Comparing Wilder to the best heavyweights ever is like comparing Crawford to the best welterweights ever. Just no.
