What fighters did Tyson and Marciano knock out who were 50lbs heavier?

Holyfield, Lewis, Ali and Holmes are guys that would have weathered the Wilder storm and outbox him in the long run.

I am not impressed by a guy that gets outboxed for 6 rounds and ends it by the seventh round with a big right hand. What happens if the big right hand never landed.
thats the thing in all 43 fights the big right hand lands!so hes doing something right clearly lol and he didnt KO stiverne the first fight so he did outbox him. i know its stiverne but still. he won on the cards. you dont get lucky 43 times in a row

Getting like the UFC now, everything is the greatest of all time.George Foreman knocked Moorer out with one punch at 46,lets just forget him. Razor Ruddock sent Mike Dokes to Bolivian, dont count. This muppet thought Anthony Yarde was more skilled than Kovalev. Tripe.

Yep, because we are egotistical enough to believe the greatest puncher of all time, is in our time, it’s a basic human failing. Fact is, you’d have to get them all on a scientific instrument and measure them to be sure. We don’t even have the benefit of comparable camera equipment to measure by, so its impossible to say. Their have been some immense punchers in the HW division through time, but we just weren’t around to witness them or able to see them in the clear view in which we can see Wilder.

The guy can obviously punch very hard, so let’s the just stick with ‘one of the hardest punchers’ of all time and stop trying to sensationalise everything and dumb it down.

Why when hes only fought two top level heavies? One old one with a chin that cruiserweights dent. Why better than Foreman, young George flattening Frazier and Norton, sending Cooney to sleep, one punching Moorer. Why is the Ortiz win better than these?

Yeah I made a similar point in my later post, funny how we always think we are witnessing the greatest, because the hype machines tell us.

It's not impressive that he routinely gets outboxed but I just don't know if any of the current heavyweights could ever "expose" him or learn how to defend against that right hand. Everyone goes into the fight knowing that's what they need to do but it's easier said than done. Wilder is more athletic and too fast for evey heavyweight. He hits too hard for anyone to roll with that right hand. I think the only way he gets beat is if he's swarmed and not allowed to get extension on that right hand. It would also help to beat on his on right arm and shoulder. Alternatively, going for the KO at the first bell might work too.
Yep I agree, for this reason I think his managers steered clear of Whyte and Ruiz would only get made because they are both from Haymon, so he has two dogs in the fight.

AJ is way too stand up and susceptible to that long right, however, if he connects, we’re talking about a guy with a 90%+ KO rate, I am far from convinced a Wilders chin is solid. That’s really what makes that fight interesting, but you’d have to say Wilder has the edge.

I wouldn’t rule out Fury though, he is a good boxer and let’s not forget that prior to their first fight he was very inactive, it was only when he tired was he getting more easily caught, if only he had more power Wilder would have been in serious trouble in that bout. The big question is whether that fight happens, I’m not convinced.

I do think Wilder has the hardest punch ever but at the same time he does really commit to his big shots with his feet planted. I think his real skill is in managing to land those big shots. And he has that speed and long reach too.

I think if any big heavyweight committed that much to a punch and landed it clean it would have a similar effect.

To give an example when not-known-for-a-huge-punch Chisora landed that huge KO punch against normally very durable Takam.
