Does he have good enough footwork or the jab to have kept say Holyfield off of him? That power may look otherworldly but it's easy to maintain that power when you aren't facing guys who can get in there and attack the body.Comment

You do realize even Paulie M ko'd people, yes ?
Mora has ko victims.
Even our own Rocky has victims (I think it's plural).
Point being, it will be pretty hard to find a guy (euro bum or not) who HASN'T ko someone.
Maybe the quality guy was fooling around and got lazy (the extremely popular Cooper vs Clay example).
Maybe a guy will have his feet set wrong where the slightest shot will sit them down (I think this is why GGG knocked down Jacobs)
Maybe quality guy underestimated his opponent (AJ vs Ruiz, Mike vs Buster, Lennox vs McCall and Rahman, most fluke will apply).
Isolating the best of Mike vs the best of Wilder, I don't see Mike surviving Wilder for these reasons -
Mike HATES opponents who aren't afraid. Most of Mike's skills are built off of how scared his opponents are. Mike will often look for the ref to help him out. You can see it in his eyes.
Poeple say Mike is a killer on the inside. Not really. He is easily tied up and walked down.
Mike is easily timed. His ''fight'' pattern rarely changes.
Most if not all of Mike's taller opponents were either shot or bum level. 6'3'' would be the average.
Wilder's height and length AND awkwardness (sloppiness for the non fans) would pose a huge problem for Mike....unless he was a lefty. This is why Ortiz had success. Wilder's jab was reduced to a range finder instead of a weapon.
Wilder's jab will find its mark or at the very least make Mike think about it and what will be coming after it.
Wilder will not be afraid and this will rattle Mike to the core. A reversal of fortune. Mike is now the one primed to be bullied.Comment
