dayyummm ... guy gets a big pay day, and now wants to try to save face by making excuses.. ok..

Ward ruined him... Big Daddy Lord Ward, got in that azz and his mind...

After that, he lost not only his invincibility cloak, but his man hood, now .. he is like that guy who gets koed, and says, I could have fought on, so much bs...

GGG is what now? Getting older wanting that pay day, and desperate to get a trilogy.

i will watch it, but not if I gotta pay for it, and if it ends in someone getting ktfo...

Kov's 36, on the downside of his career,
      hasn't looked good lately,
went life or death in August with a young prospect,
came basically one punch away from retiring that night,
comes back after shortest camp he's had in years,
and says he felt drained and not confident going into the Canelo fight.
      "That don't make no sense!"

Glad Kovalev admitted he took the money and did what he was supposed to, exposes canelo for what he always has been, a fraud..

Kovalev sticks up for Canelo by saying he was the better man so it can deter the fact that most people thought the fight was staged and Canelo calls him a sore loser. You’d think he’d be grateful Kovalev stuck up for him but maybe it’s all part of the act.

this is Kovs, fault, he was unprofessional.
A large part of being a boxer is knowing when to prep and doing it. The guy has elite ability, shame.

Kovalev is a shell of his former self

The only reason Kovalev got that payday is because he is a shell of his former self. Callum Smith didnt get an offer. Beterbiev? no offer. Anybody at the true top of their game isn't going to get an offer. Canelo hasn't fought anyone at their best most of his career. Anybody he has fought that was in their prime could be argued a draw at least. Start fighting the ones closer to his age and in their prime. The hungry fighters. That would impress me. Next he will be trying to get a fight with Roy Jones. So he can say he beat him at his prime too....what a joke

Interesting how Kovalev is the only honest man between the two. At least Kovalev admits he virtually sold his belts.

It was an even fight until the knock out. Canelo was shorter, smaller, but simply better. Who exactly did the Krusher crush in his prime. O yeah, a 49 year old Bernard Hopkins and celebrated as if the had pulled of the ultimate achievement. Now at 36, we are granting him these excuses.

In that same interview He explains that their first Target at 175 was Beterbiev. However they decided to pursue Kovalev as he was Rank #1 by boxrec and decided to go for the #1 guy.

Also. The translator in this article SUCK
