A lot of what you say is true. I thought Wilder did great against Fury in terms of boxing skill. But the truth is Wilder still isn't fighting anyone that good. I still feel Wilder is untested at top level. We all know Wilder has a punch but fighters like Breazele and Ortiz are made for him. I need to see him against more top 10 fighters to make my decision.
That is actually fair. However I will add that Ortiz probably should be top 10 across all orgs. Have you seen all orgs top 15? They are a complete laughingstock. Outside of the WBC Ortiz isn’t in the top 15. That’s because no one will step into a ring with him. I firmly believe he KOs all top 15 fighters across all orgs up to #5. Rankings today are a joke. During the Tyson era and before orgs typically had HWs ranked uniformally across the top 10 give or take a few positions of certain fighters. Today’s # 8 fighter within this alphabet soup org doesn’t make a top 50 in another.
We found out nothing new about Wilder from second Ortiz fight. We already knew he was better than Ortiz, because he stopped him already in first fight. It tells nothing about Tyson Fury rematch, because Fury is nothing like Ortiz.
I favor Wilder in the rematch too. Wilder isn't as a good a boxer as Fury, but his knockout power is no joke! He said it himself and it's true, "They have to be perfect for 12 rounds. I have to be perfect for 2 seconds." Wilder isn't a better boxer than Fury, but Wilder's the type of fighter you can't afford to make mistakes with. One misstep and it's lights out. I favor Wilder simply because of his raw power. Also, he seems to be getting better. He's still not a great technical boxer, but I've noticed how he's more strategic now and calm. He knows what he packs in his punches and he's looking for the perfect shot. I do think he's getting better with every fight.
No one speaks common sense, they're all supporting a fighter because of his skin color or they're just fan boys who're on the bandwagon. Fury was 30% maybe when he faced wilder and still toyed with him like he was an amateur, which he is....he relies on one punch...he can knock down old people and bums but he could not do it against fury....fury got up after taking his hardest punch...now that he beat the fat old Cuban, he's all of a sudden the greatest HW?? He has no skills...he relies on one punch..but against fury that aint enough
What percentage was he when he struggled against Otto Wallin?
Wilder lost all 6 rounds to a 50 year old Ortiz with high blood pressure. Wilder has a puncher's chance against Fury - that's it. Fury wins every round unless he gets dropped again. I predicted this the first time and I think Fury will outbox Wilder even easier. Wilder just has that one punch KO power though, so I would never bet against him again. Wilder could literally lose every round and KO someone in the 12th.
But historically, in rematches - the boxer usually always beats the puncher when he won the first time especially.

I agree 100 %, Fury actually can make adjustments I doubt he get's caught again like he did in the 1st fight.People forget he was inactive for what 3 years , lost a huge amount of weight fought 2 fights. Then stepped in there with Wilder and gave him a boxing lesson.Took Wilder's best shot and still got up and should have won a decision.
Wilder COULD ko him at any time if he lets his hands go. With a 260lbs Fury though wilder better come in at 225-230, he just gave away too much weight in the last fight combined with giving away rounds. Fury had a 50+ lbs weight advantage and even n average punching man with that much of a weight advantage can hurt you with his punches and wilder was stunned a couple of times in that match
Wilder will not...I repeat "Will Not!" KO Fury at all because Fury is a wrestler now and will not get back in the ring with Wilder. He lost his soul that night messing with Wilder.
