I think Ortiz will KO him in the first round. Wilder's chin is untested.

Wilder is weaponized and Ortiz is getting horizontalized. Brain jar time. Grievous!

Well, I did go so far as to pick Ortiz for my NSB PICK EMS, KO, Late.
I suppose I'll be picking against Wilder until he loses, unless it's against non-contenders. A good Top 10 contender has a decent shot against Wilder, imo.

I guess any good heavyweight has a chance of landing a KO punch, but it’s not so easy. Wilder’s got a decent chin and heart. He showed that in round seven of the first fight. And you’re gonna risk getting smoked yourself if you try and test that chin.

Yep, I am. Been saying it from the start. Ortiz about to become the first Cuban heavyweight champ. The funny thing is though, I had a dream a couple days ago that Wilder knocked him out in the 3rd round. Ortiz came out putting the pressure on him and even rockin him with a great hard left hook, but he got overconfident when he thought he had him and ate a monster right hand

Damn, brother, you even dream about boxing. Lol You sound pretty confident about Ortiz. I hope you’re right. I think he would’ve had a better shot five years ago, but whatever.

Why did you put quotations on old man? He IS an old man. Especially in boxing years

                  Not me

Ortiz has looked garbage in his last few fights. Looks old and can’t go through the gears.

He hasn’t done anything of note in his career except beat Jennings years ago, and Jennings isn’t exactly a world beater. Ortiz has faced one top opponent and got stopped because that’s his level.

Of course he can win, he hits hard enough, so there’s a punchers chance. In reality, the talk of Ortiz being a top heavyweight is a myth.

Maybe Ortiz isn’t a top heavyweight among the current crop anymore (we’ll see tonight), but he was two years ago. It could also be that Luis, like a lot of athletes, rises to the level of his competition. Again, we’ll see tonight. Wilder will almost certainly be Ortiz’s career barometer. Even in losing, people may look back and say he gave a good account of himself.
