Let Roy do what he wants

Some of you guys are absolute clowns. The same handfull of guys who love nothing better than to hate on Roy need to take a step back and find something else to complain about.

Who ever billed that fight as more than it was?

Why the hell would you be watching it, knowing what it was, and then provide the comedy and irony of complaining about it afterwards?

Roy didn't want to go out off those losses, and got back in the ring with a safe top 20 Light Heavyweight to get back in the ring and get his 50th win, because he's a boxer and it's all he's ever know.

What a joke to read the same old insecure haters yapping away.

If you don't like it, ignore it.

Was anyone screaming about Aruthur Williams and Kenny Keene still fighting on the undercard?

Virgil Hill talking about a planned return to the ring?

These guys have been fighters all their lives, and if they want to continue to fight, so be it. No one's obligating you to watch, nevermind dwell on it like it's a fixation.

    Again, clowns.

Yeah, but some people are talking as if Roy of the 90's is back. Like he's back to knocking guys on their back. That's not happening. Also there are too many threads on it.

Roy isn't the prime Roy, but can he still knock a few known fighters off their block? Yes he can. Even if he ain't in his prime doesn't mean he's still a good boxer.

            Mixed Views.

I've been a proponent for Roy's retirement since his loss to Glen Johnson. Laying unconscious on the canvas for over 5 minutes in virtually life-threatening circumstances against a total Journeyman is not a good sign of things to come.

I'm the first person to praise Jones most of the time, however it's clear in my view that he won't be returning to the top.

Problems arise when he keeps fighting at his current ring age, and does something to damage his legacy.

The last thing anyone want's to read or hear, is how Jones never beat anyone and was knocked out by the people he faced.

Children who already over populate boxing forums and discussion groups, aren't familiar with Roy Jones Jr because he was before their time. Yet they seem to find ways to hate on him, for reasons unbeknown. Most of them include outlandish claims like "Roy was ducking Michaelsveski" and "Nunn would have knocked Jones out cold" sound like they're being repeated through a parrot. The same people that critiscise Jones are the same ones who don't know what the **** they're discussing.

It was more about how people were talking about the win Saturday evening.

They were billing it as the "Return of mid 90's Roy" when that's not what it proved.

Anyone who's so clearly confused and ignorant doesn't even deserve a response.

I can't fathom how anyone could think that, but there's a lot of things around here I can't fathom anyone thinking.

I got to watch it live with out having to pay full price (stream tv) and I thought the fight ****** ass. Moving up to HW and then back down to LHW made and ruined Roy's career. I would hope that Roy will just take that bogus win and call it the end of an amazing career.

Yeah, and I think that's totally absurd.

But the whole retirement issue per say really requires alot of discussion and debate in Jones' case. There are people who think he still has the ability, and he's being written off. And there are those including me, that believe he's rapidly declining as a fighter at an alarming rate.

Tarver and Johnson would never have knocked out a 90-100% Roy and to think they would is laughable.
