Despite inactivity, Chris Algieri has dismissed talks that he is retired as he continues to tick over ahead of one last push towards a world title fight in 2020. Algieri's last outing came on the undercard of Andy Ruiz Jr's stunning stoppage of Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden and now the former world super lightweight champion has revealed previous and future plans for an assent back to the pinnacle of world boxing.

Good luck to him. I hope he negotiates his fight earnings better though. If he's gonna go out there, may as well do the best for himself financially.

I hate knocking guys who really dedicate themselves to the sport. Fighting, winning, losing, training and repeat. But does Algieri really have big fights left in him? Other than being a gatekeeper for guys on the rise or trying to make their case while moving up divisions. I don't see what Algieri really has in the main event picture of the boxing world.

He's sort of like a bigger Paulie Malignaggi and I don't think that can get him the limelight as he doesn't carry a lot of charisma either. In whatever case, good luck to him. He's doing and making a living doing what many people can't or will never reach the level doing.

He shouldn't be near a title shot but the hooker fight actually works now as a comeback fight for hooker

Broner at 140 would be entertaining! Chris better hurry up he isn't getting any younger he started the comeback with all that gusto now it's all stopped he obviously wanted Hooker as he saw something he could exploit.

Would be a good comeback fight for Broner or something.

Stop while you're ahead, Chris. Sooner or later, after a bad ending fight for him, someone will be saying "He ain't pretty no more".

He shouldn't get a title shot right away but I wouldn't mind seeing him against Prograis or Hooker.
