Wilder is not a torch bearer at all. He's not anywhere close to the draw that Mayweather was/is, and a shoutout from wilder would barely dent traffic on another fighter's social media page.

I understand why Wilder is upset but Wilder is a bum and Floyd promotes Tank so he is going to give the "rub" to someone he is going to profit off of, not a dude who clearly has no talent.

I've noticed that also that Mayweather Promotions is involved in his fights. The thing that is weird to me is that these fighters are probably being associated with Mayweather through their dealings with Al Haymon. You never seen any of Al Haymon's fighters on Mayweather's undercard. But he's getting a piece of the pie in these guys careers. The exposure they would've gotten from being on his undercard would've been huge.

I can't pretend to know the inner workings of Al and Money, but, if I was forced to submit a guess I'd go with connections and what not. Maybe Mayweather promotions brings certain people to the table who otherwise wouldn't be there?

Don't really understand why Mayweather never properly endorsed Wilder. Maybe because he refused to sign with him (probably), but it's a little strange.

Wilder was clearly a star in the heavyweight division, and Floyd could have done his part in helping.

Floyd dressed up as a black panther for Halloween so he’s very much aware of blackness and solidarity in this country, yet he chooses to not pass the torch or gets in the way of black fighters with clout and attention, he even overtakes and talks over his own signed fighters during interviews, he’s all about himself

I'm about to make you look real ignorant. Wilder said he's never experienced racism growing up in Alabama. Says he's never seen or heard racism until his 30's...So, you were saying...

“I cannot even watch the news — do we deserve it? What have we done to people?” Wilder asked after he press conference. “People see (racism) every day, but are blind to it. It’s still going on today and people say, 'Why are they so mad?' If it happened to you or your culture then you would understand, but people stick to their own naive way."

When an African American reporter referred back to his statement and questioned what he meant when he said that black people in American had been fighting for 400 years, it drew the ire of Wilder.

I don't know, He may have meant overt racism.

But the boy aint scared to talk about racism that exists and call it out.
