Tyson Fury denies being a drug cheat. Never was any solid evidence.

Tyson Fury has insisted he is not a drug cheat despite a positive test for nandrolone in 2015.

The former heavyweight world champion was handed a backdated two-year ban in 2017 which allowed him to resume his career.

He and cousin Hughie, also a boxer, blamed their high levels of the steroid on eating uncastrated wild boar.

Fury does not mention that in his autobiography Behind The Mask , but insists he has never cheated.

"From February 2015 to December 2017 a cloud of su****ion hung over me relating to an accusation that a high level of nandrolone had been found in my system and that of my cousin, Hughie Fury," he writes.

"I had to resolve this before I could truly believe I could fight again. I had been tested regularly by the drugs people at UKAD (UK Anti-Doping), probably more than most boxers, and when the case with them finally came to a conclusion they were able to list a series of tests that came back negative.

"The issue of the raised level of nandrolone came in a test in February 2016, but I wasn’t made aware of possible charges against me until long after that.

"The body naturally produces nandrolone but mine had a high level for some reason. I can categorically state, however, that I have never taken any performance-enhancing drugs and never will.

"The big question that did remain after the case was resolved was why it had taken UKAD so long to sort it out. Why did they leave me in limbo, allowing people to call me a drugs cheat, allowing me to be humiliated like that?"

The two-year legal battle almost bankrupted UKAD before Fury was cleared to return to the ring.

Two facile victories set up a shot at world champion Deontay Wilder in a fight which ended in a controversial draw.

Fury is set to take on the American again next February but feels the sport attempted to write him off.

"I couldn't help feeling at the time that other forces were at work in the background," he says. "Boxing is a shady business and when I reflect on that period, I can’t help but feel that if some people felt that they couldn't beat me in the ring, they had to get me out of boxing another way.

"But God was on my side and when God is on your side, who should you be afraid of? Nobody! When the case did come to a conclusion, the statement by UKAD made it clear that they could not establish why I had that raised level of nandrolone.

"The case cost over £1 million in lawyers’ fees and it was discussed in the press that if I had won the case – which I know I would have – then it could have left UKAD bankrupt.

"But that could easily have meant another three or four years battling in court. Anyway, the case was finally cleared up and I could seriously start thinking about fighting again."
The man was clearly framed. Anyone who says different is a hater at this point.

UKAD were openly crying in the press that they didn't have the money to lose a case against Fury. As he just said in the quote, he chose to move on with his career, rather than fight a case in the courts which could have dragged out for years. The body that found him guilty were scared of losing the case.

Tyson Fury also avoided tests deliberately 'So he kind of should just stay silent on this issue' plus he routinely use to mocked/accuse other fighters of being on drugs such as Anthony Joshua.

Maybe something got in his system via tainted supplement. 'Since his comeback Tyson Fury in my opinion has not reproduced the form as to prior his troubles' Although he is now arguable training with a intensity and diligence that he has not applied in the past.

The supplement industry is a unregulated industry, people upon this thread right now? Could just produce a supplement in their kitchen, completely unregulated. 'It does not matter if they have a fancy accreditation stamp, I do not think it is a good idea for athletes to be taking supplements' apart from the odd protein bar or something along them lines.

UK Anti-Doping (Ukad) fears it could be made insolvent or require a government bailout over a dispute with Tyson Fury.

Former world heavyweight champion Fury tested positive for a banned steroid in June 2016, and says the adverse result came from eating uncastrated wild boar.

But a legal battle with Ukad over the evidence has meant Fury, 29, has not fought for two years. Now senior figures at the agency are worried if he were cleared, Fury could sue for loss of earnings.

UK Anti-Doping is concerned that Tyson Fury could sue for loss of earnings if the boxer is cleared of doping.

Linford Christie also failed a drugs test for Nandralone, and took it to the courts because the amount that was in his sample 'According to medical professionals would of caused him serious health complications' Christie was retired at the time, so had zero incentive to be using drugs 'He claimed that he was tainted, his actually sample was tainted etc

Linford Christie was cleared by UK athletics,
afew other organisations 'But British Olympic Association never recognized him' Which is why Sebastian Coe, never involved Linford Christie in any of the London 2012 build up 'Linford Christie should of lit the flame in my opinion'.

There was a supplement company in the 90's, many athletes started failing tests for nandralone, and this drugs still keeps popping up where 'Athletes claim they have been tainted, or unknowingly taken something which has made them fail a drugs test'.

The odds are is that Tyson Fury maybe took something that was tainted, if this man is a God fearing man? I don't see why he would continually bring this issue back up, and lie etc or maybe he has done something wrong, has forgiven himself and just wants to keep bringing it back up.

Victor Conte said Nandrolone is the highest banned substance in history for cross contamination products....he wasn't referring to worldwide bovine contamination but supplements...

Fury was clearly stitched up. You can't criticise certain members of society without risking them trying to ruin your life.

Fury did a deal with UKAD. He dropped the law suite he started against them for slander and loss of earnings and accepted a back-dated ban for the nandrolone charge, which put that case to bed permanently.

In return, UKAD dropped the other charge they brought against him of refusing to be tested and abusing WADA accredited testing officials, which carries an automatic 4 year worldwide ban.

This information was posted at UKAD's website, but it seems to have been removed now.

Of course, Fury won't mention this in his book because he is trying to leave his anti-establishment, bad boy image behind and re market himself in a more main stream friendly, PC way, like AJ.

Note ... after what happened with his last fight, I don't think we will hear any more tirades from Dillain Whyte attacking UKAD and accusing of them of granting TUEs to some people (cough .. AJ) and denying them to others.
