And realistically I think Ortiz is in his mid 40's
Age of Luis Ortiz

judging his looks and the way he behaves I'd give Ortiz 46 years...I mean that's still good when you consider who Wilder has been fighting since the start of his career. I couldn't believe the way Fury toyed with him, wilder had nothing..he swang like a wild man and got lucky with that punch at the end which Fury took with no problems, a 30% Fury that is. So after him fighting that bum with the "man breasts" Beazele of w.e his name is, this actually is a big step up for Deontay...this old man is better than the other 40+ bums he's been fighting, except Fury of course..but I won't mention him..he was too good for Deontay so don't wanna make Deountay look badComment

I think Wilder's defense was a little underated in their first fight. I mean he was eating some straights for sure, but it's not like Ortiz was having a field day. I expect Wilder to come out behind a jab a lot more in this fight, practicing and re-iterating his boxing basics. That might actually suit Ortiz more, because even at his age, he's likely still a better boxer than Wilder is. It will be interesting while it lasts - it might even go 12 if Ortiz is upto the task.
Wilder could detonate and it be over in 1 of course and vice versa...though expect an endless stream of PED threads if Ortiz does knock him outComment

I think he’s 40 because everything on this website is a conspiracy theory based on nothing. So I’ll go by his listed age.Comment

- -He may not know his real age.Getting very hyped for this fight. I am pulling for Luis Ortiz as he reminds me a little bit of my grandpa ... no joke there — I still think a Wilder at his peak wins fairly easily though against the old man. But seriously, if Ortiz really is as old as they say, will he “come out” with his real age if he wins the upset, so he can get the record of oldest heavyweight ever? Or do you think he just keeps quiet and doesn’t get the record (assuming he shocks the world and beats Wilder)?Comment

The record for oldest heavyweight is 45, held by George Foreman. I don’t think Ortiz is quite that old. MMA star Yoel Romero says he knew Luis in Cuba, and that he’s 2-3 years older than he claims. I don’t doubt this.Comment
