Yeah $5+ Million or something crazy like thatdidnt chenko get 5 mil for the fight? am i remembering this right?
if so thats just awful and ridiculous...i mean good on chenko but thats terrible business practive by DAZN
i mean jacobs getting 12 for a canelo opponent is also ridiculous
DAZN really messing up the game...i mean ortiz is getting overpaid for the wilder fight and its really DAZNs fault
Yeah DAZN no question let the Salaries and Spending get out of control. Of course it is not sustainable and Joe Markowski Senior EP of DAZN North America himself admits that when he said that they was going to cut back on the spendingComment

Spence, Porter, Broner were all successful PPV'S. That money came from the upside. Crawford has a guarantee purse. None of these situations are the sameEveryone is overpaying fighters now. DAZN created the issue but everyone is doing it to keep up.
Errol Spence earned $8 million for the Porter fight. His previous high was $1.2 million
Keith Thurman made $7 million for his fight with Pacquiao. His previous high was $2 million.
Wilder made $10 million for the Brezeale fight. His previous high was $2 million.
Broner made $2.5 million for the Pacquiao fight, a career high.
Terence Crawford took home a career high purse of $5.5 million against Khan. His previous high was $3 million.Comment

He made a lot more than 1.25M before the Mikey fight. In fact, he was making like 3M to fight the likes of O'Campo.
https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/10/...to-boxing-newsHowever, according to one of the sources, Spence was promised $3.5 million by Haymon for his next fight to stay with him. Spence didn't get into the specifics of the offer but said he was indeed offered a deal by Golden Boy and simply was not interested.
Golden Boy Promotions, which promotes Cotto and Ali, offered the fight to a number of other opponents with bigger names, all with ties to adviser/manager Al Haymon: Errol Spence Jr.; Mikey Garcia; Danny Garcia; Jessie Vargas; and Lamont Peterson.
For various reasons, they all turned it down.
Spence preferred a deal to defend his welterweight title against Peterson in January on Showtime for a purse that, according to a source, will be more than $3 million, rather than the $2.5 million that Spence was offered to face Cotto as part of a longer-term commitment to Golden Boy and HBO.Last edited by KTFOKING; 11-19-2019, 10:46 AM.Comment
