Does Ortiz have a shot at the upset?

Wilder/Ortiz was a lot closer than most people thought it would be and Ortiz rocked Wilder in the seventh. Check out my preview of the rematch this Saturday.

Of course he does. Wilder has to be considered the favorite, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Ortiz manages the upset.

In the heavyweight divison there is always a chance of an upset.

Absolutely, do people actually think Wilder will all of a sudden out box him and win majority of the rounds? As long as Ortiz is standing, he's going to win his fair share of rounds. Just has better boxing fundamentals and will win rounds off his IQ and technique. Of course, Wilder will just try to jab his way through the early rounds until he is able to land his bomb. And when he does land, we shall see how Ortiz takes it. Was taking some shots well last fight until the end.

Also, Ortiz needs to go to the body even more than the last fight. He cant go toe to toe with Wilder. He needs to cut the ring off and wear Wilder down. That's how he was able to get to him in the seventh last fight. He definitely has a chance if he is patient and works Wilders body.

            Ortiz buzzed wilder
            Wilder obliterated Ortiz

This won't end well for Ortiz.

His chin is at risk if he does a lot of that.

He took Wilder’s power about as well as anyone, early on. But when you’ve gone 9+ rounds, it’s tough to stay on your feet eating them bombs. Ortiz looked like he went down in the tenth just as much from exhaustion as from the force of the blows. He has to get to Deontay early. The longer the fight goes, the less likely we see an upset.

Actually there was an earlier KD that was ruled a slip. Watch it closely or in slomo. Wilder hit him with a very short very fact punch. Too fast you might say and awesome.
You can be sure Ortiz knows...

He does but the problem is, he fought the best fight of his life the first time and still lost.. the chances of him repeating such performance is slim.

Ortiz has to be perfect whereas Wilder only has to land one punch.
