        Boxing vs MMA

sorry masvidal your just a street fighter. canelo and all the other elite boxers have been training since they were 6-8 years old dedicating their life to the sport. boxing is not something you can just start late in life like MMA and what i mean by late i mean 15 years old is already to late if you want to become a WORLD boxing champion.

Eh. I mean the guy is just doing what he should be doing. If I told you that you could make your career best yearly income by 20x or more in one night by fighting Canelo you or anyone with a brain would be trying to get Canelo's attention. Masvidal is just doing that. It's a long shot but it's worth the attempt.

Agree. I mean he's 6-4 in his last 10 UFC fights ffs. If he at least had a sexy UFC record this could be more sellable, but 6-4 in his last 10 & 35-13 overall isn't transcending into a whole other combat sport. The only way you could sell Canelo vs Masvidal is if Masvidal had a 1 or more fights
in the ring that legitimized him.

And it's worth noting Masvidal had a pro fight back in the day vs a 1-11-2 guy who'd been KTFO 5 times that he won by majority decision so idk that him in pro boxing is gonna be a good look 14yrs later.

Strongly agree, his striking skills are elite level. He brought back the ancient art of shifting rarely seen since world war 1 in his KO of Darren Till - he quickly shifted from orthodox to southpaw with his entire momentum going into the punch rendering Till unconscious as soon as it struck. If he hits Canelo like that... forget it, Canelo going to snooze land!
