I’m not exactly sure what your complaint is. Showtime passed on the fight, fox didn’t.

It seems you are upset that haymon found a company to work with him on this fight.

Is this any different than TR? Sometimes TR fights are on ESPN, sometimes ESPN+, sometimes ESPN + PPV, and sometimes ESPN2.

Showtime has been in the business for decades and they knew
exactly the value of a fight like this Ortiz/Wilder.

In life, if you have no other choice to go, you forfeit dictating your terms.
You mean Wilder crew wanted huge money and Sho said they have no such amount for it. So then they went to Fox and Fox said, since we're your only remaining choice, you have to accept our terms and accept a smaller guarantee. Nah, we can't pay your B-side $7 million plus. We're not DAZN.

In life beggars can't be choosers.

So if the $7 mil offer from Hearn was legit then Ortiz is getting $7 mil for Wilder
If this is true, then why was Ortiz's manager crying about their promoter "dropping the ball" by rejecting Hearn's offer and begging Eddie to give them another chance at it?

          Smells like bullshit to me.

Tyson Fury caused a splash in the American fight market. When he fought Wilder people sat up and took notice. Wilder's face was all over the place, all of a sudden. Now, a year after Fury whipped him, Deontay is back to obscurity. A few people MAY remember him from being the Gypsy King's opponent, but he's slipping rapidly out of view yet again. Sad really.
