WBA welterweight world champion Manny Pacquiao had solid year in 2019. Pacquiao came back to the same venue in July, when he turned back the clock in defeating unbeaten Keith Thurman for the WBA title.

Why does it take Manny so long to fight in between fights??

    Is he semi-retired?

Common sense would because he is older and needs more time to rest between fights.

common sense bro. he doesnt need that much rest. remember he is a senator serving the philippine senate. there's no available time to fight during the sessions. so he'd probably take the fight on senate break. simple as that.

no. he is a senator and needs to come to work. so he's fighting only during the senate breaks.

I would like to see him retire already. But he won't. Warriors don't retire because they want to. But because they're forced to. Somebody's gonna have to beat him up for his own good.

If that's the case then why not just retire?

If he's half way in than he's chances of getting KO'd are higher.

Worst thing is, the person to KO will most likely not even be better than Manny, it would have just been Manny half way in.

Is that why fighters only fight once or twice a year toward the ends of their careers?
