Has there ever been a fan base as sensitive as Canelo’s?

I find it weird that whenever another fighter does well, the Canelo fans all swarm to bash them.

Beterbiev is a bum now, no head movement, headhunter, no boxing pedigree
Inoue is a bum now who has never fought anyone, and almost died by a 500 year old Donaire

From what I gather, they don't like boxing, they just like Canelo and they are incredibly insecure about any other boxer doing well, even if they will never, ever fight.

For whatever reason, I think they as a group are REALLY invested in having Canelo be pfp number 1...Loma fans seem to want him there too, but are content it seems with having him in the discussion...same with Crawford fans, though there aren't really a ton of guys saying he should definitely be number 1 pfp.

But yeah Canelo fans just seem to have this need to make sure everyone knows Canelo is number 1 pfp...I don't want to call it insecurity...but I would definitely say that some of those guys seem to have a lot of their self-worth tied up in how well Canelo does and is perceived...they need him to be viewed as the best so they can wear that crown themselves.

AJ fans were kind of similar though imo...but yeah they have basically disappeared now.

im not even sure canelo has a huge online fanbase....I think its more like people that are just sick of the sheetbag golovkin fans that sweat every EE fighter and then cry foul and whine when they lose

Bro Canelo is the biggest boxer in the world...he probably has by far the most instagram followers and all that ish...and I would imagine he would be clear #1 on this site as far as which guy has the most supporters....he has a lot of Mexican fans...but also a lot of guys like you who are Floyd fans/GGG dislikers who are fans of Canelo most of the time by proxy.

I defend canelo all the time...but I don't even consider myself a fan of his...maybe moderately

I just don't think he does things any different than anyone else would in his shoes.....and the dude is constantly held to a different standard and is subject to criticism every day for something

I haven't seen any Haney hate really. I'm a fan of Loma and Haney.

The Tank hate is legit. he name calls everyone in every division then fights scrubs. Hell, he called out Josh Taylor last week, then said Ryan Garcia is too young and not worthy...like, ****.

It's like the hate Teo got. Had nothing to do with Loma, but had to do with him screaming that he was the best while KOing club fighters, and now he's trying to talk his way out of a title shot. These kids all have big mouths.
