Yep Calzaghe REALLY beat B-Hop and we dont need to settle it now it was settled at the final bell. Close tough fight but Super Joe was the clear winner.Comment

Calzaghe won, and would have done it they were both 10 years younger too.
Just like Calzaghe v RJJ if they were 10 years younger.Comment

Hopkins showed Calzaghe a different level as far as I was concerned, that right hand was a piston early on. However Calzaghe found a way to let his hands go, so many of Hopkins's opponents fall into this trap of second guessing themselves and their punch count dropping off tremendously. I actually think Calzaghe would have found an easier time vs a slightly younger Hopkins, who wasn't quite so cagey and low volume. I think it's also worth noting how Hopkins himself behaved in that fight, he was taking every single opportunity to spoil and buy himself time to breath, it was probably the ugliest performance of his career? (perhaps with the exception of Kov) And I think that's all credit to Joe.Comment

Agreed 100%. At one time Hopkins was really good to watch, but late in his career his fights became almost unwatchable. His rematch with Roy Jones might be the worst fight I've ever sat through.Yea, he beat him. And, I think the KD was bullshyt because Hopkins pushed him. That's what I don't like about BHop's late career, when he lost athleticism, he just started doing everything as cheaply as possible. Gritty is one thing, gaming the system in every way possible ain't cool.Comment
