im still fine with going lowball saying he made 10 mil for the dom fight....but like I keep asking these fools "show me another American, current active, fighter that has made 30 mil in their entire career like wilder will have over his last 3 fights".....and they cant

but youre right...wilder likely made more than 10 mil for the dom fight....these guys forgot about the Floyd model that made Floyd a lot of money....where he controlled every food item and piece of merch sold....if wilder is even only getting a piece of that hes doing well....that's why these guys are starting their own gigs like bombsquad and mandown promotions...so they get more control of everything

Wilder’s team don’t always do what’s best for their fighters, they do what’s best for themselves. I understand it’s business, but your job is to make money for your fighter.

Tank got offered $5m for one fight on DAZN, no strings attached deal and his team turned it down basically. I bet he’s made nowhere near $5m for a fight yet.

They’re not always looking out for their fighters, they have other interests in mind such as their own network deals and promotional companies, so they aren’t going to let their better fighters go on a rival network affiliated with rival promoters, but at the end of the day it’s the fighter that’s losing out.

They can’t keep it up forever if they can’t compete with DAZN financially. The biggest earners are at DAZN now, Canelo, GGG, AJ etc.. eventually more fighters will want to go there when they realise DAZN is there to stay and still offering big money. Fighters were apprehensive at first, but now they’re realising it’s where to go to make money. Guys like Haney making $1m for undercard fights.

Let’s be honest, if you told any DAZN doubters that Canelo and GGG would be on there within their first year, they would’ve laughed at you. DAZN is going to continue to take over when the rest can’t compete.
      I have to agree.
If I know how Haymon projects, Wilder will eventually sign.with DAZN in the twilight of his career.
Hearn's mistake was putting an international value on Wilder of $120 million and Haymon will reformulate it and get Wilder the same but with his cut.
The best things that happened to Wilder:
      1) AJ lost
      2) The career saving 12th round knockdown of Fury
      3) The blitzkrieg of Breazeale

The only people who criticised and continue to criticise wilder for not taking that deal are militant nationalist brits who believe Eddie Hearn should be in control of big time boxing in the USA. These militants want to see PBC fall, they want to see haymon out of business, they see PBC as a threat to some sort of “British domination” of the sport with Eddie Hearn and dazn execs at the helm. They believe Hearn is ENTITLED to have all the say in wilder’s career as if he were some sort of plantation overseer or the “massa” himself. These people are angry that wilder had lasted and angry that Joshua has already been knocked out. These people are absolutely obsessed with Wilder being controlled by Hearn, OBSESSED....and utterly blinded by their vitriolic nationalism.

"He is in the driver's seat. He put the onus on himself and he is betting on himself. You can never go wrong with that because you put it in your hands and in your control," Ellerbe stated.

Well put! Wilder has shown supreme confidence in his own ability to control his future. You have to admire a man like that.

No one will know if it was a smart move until the dust settles.

Got it. So his DAZN deal was basically 30 mil per fight. So far he’s lost at least 10 mil since the first fight he took since declining DAZN was only about 20 mil.

That’s a pretty substantial risk, I will admit. But if he got paid 20 mil for a non-PPV in his last fight, then I kinda like his odds of coming out ahead in regards to dollars. Of course he has to keep winning..... but he bet on himself. Can’t blame him for that. His fights are exciting. He’s getting promotion on network TV. Just sucks that we didn’t / won’t get the Joshua fight because of all this. The fan in me wishes he would have taken the money from DAZN

Never believe in anything a promoter says. Only believe a good forensic accountant.

can you name me another active, US, fighter that has made 30 mil in their career....my bet/guess is you cant because there isn't one......

and wilder still has his biggest paydays ahead of him
                      You are wrong.
                      Ortiz fight $2.1million
Fury $4.0million (no one knows what he made with ppv because PBC does not release figures)
Breazele $10million, possibly the dumbest financial move made by Showtime and PBC, paying this much money was a sure money loser. They only paid him this to keep him away from DAZN.

You said name another who can make $30million. Canelo makes $30-$35million per fight. Kovalev made $12million against Canelo more than Wilder made against all of the above named fighters.

Wilder is not a ppv fighter. His fight against Fury did not reach anywhere near 1 million buys. He did not even get half of that. Him and Fury 2 of the top most well known heavyweights (which is not saying much) could only generate 300,000+ ppv buys. That is sad. An over the hill 41 yr old Paqman did 75-80% more buys than Wilder did.
