dude has like what 14 15 fights and I haven't seen him use actual boxing skills in none of those fights yet. It's all rock em sock em. He still needs to get his experience imo. Fighting a bunch of blown up guys and dudes naturally smaller than him won't prepare him for the elite at 147. He'd be in for a rude awakening.

Even Spence himself started having a hard time when stepping up to face the elite at 147 after knocking almost everyone out and looking like the bogeyman for a couple years.

I doubt Ortiz really wants those fights right now anyway. Just name dropping to promote himself.

Berto, Guerrero, Khan, Ocampo, Benavidez..ect guys like this is who he needs to be trying to get in with rn..

That about sums it up for me!

Until he fights a legit WW : Jamal James , Lipinets, Ugas etc etc , they are really just name dropping at this point.

Heck even a Josesito Lopez will give us a good read on him.

Exactly. Name dropping at it's finest. Just a couple months ago he said he was years away from a fight with Spence. Now all of a sudden hes ready for the elite. lol.

As much i like this kid, and love his demeanor, he's not the best prospect @ 147. That "title" belongs to Jaron "Boots" Ennis! Vergil Ortiz vs. Eimantas Stanionis! Make It Happen!

Did someone say Boots Ennis is @ the top

This kid can fight and will fight but lets be real, he hasn't fought nobody yet! I mean nobody, and I have seen so many Philly hype jobs over the years, this is the one. I just don't see the special effects in him! I need to see a fighter take it from time to time to see what they are made out of, and this kid has fought a bunch of stiffs to say the least. I would love to be proven wrong however, so step up.

he ran right over his two step up fights, orosco and herrera.

lopez would be same level but not a bad next fight at all. but i think hes gonna have a hard time getting matches against folks a level up from gatekeeper/fringe contender. they gonna go ahead and let another prospect like blair the flair in there with him?

whos got lipinets? aint he up at 147 now?

cant wait to see this guy tested. he seems to me to be the best of the current prospects like vergil orgiz, stenvenson, haney, et cetera.
