Comments Thread For: Vergil Ortiz Feels Strong at 147 - Eyes Thurman, Garcia, Pacquiao

Vergil Ortiz Jr. intends to seek his fourth victory of the year and the fifteenth in his career on December 13 at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. The opponent that Ortiz Jr. will face is about to be appointed. At the rate of knockouts, including one this year against former champion Mauricio Herrera and high-ranking Antonio Orozco, Vergil believes that the time for great fights are coming.

Just stop. I like Ortiz but this could be career suicide, he'd get battered by those guys. In a few more fights against sturdier opponents he should be ready.

I doubt Spence will be able to take hard punches after getting the **** knockout from that accident. Manny is to old he beat Thurman because Thurman don’t have it no more and was inactive to long. Almost lost to Josesito Lopez a C level fighter

He has a chance against everyone but Pacquiao(wrong styles matchup).

That said, Jarron Ennis would be my pick to be the next king at WW. The kid can do it all and is much more complete than Ortiz.

They need to announce his next fight already.
