Eventually Tarver would've hit him. Roy doesn't understand that you need to move to your left to nullify Tarver's left hand and you have to be able to bully Tarver.

that fought Hopkins. I now believe that Roy really had trouble when he went down from heavyweight to light heavyweight to face Tarver the first time. His excuse is legit in my opinion. Just look at Tarver against Hopkins. He had no energy whatsoever. Think about that while knowing that Jones Jr did pretty good against Tarver the 1st time while Tarver was beaten one sidedly by Hopkins. Jones Jr is still a legend and he's back.
