As far as that #1 all time resume stuff, consider that Mayweather has something like 21 world champions defeated, and mostly no one thinks he's the best ever. In what universe is Alvarez better than that, let alone all of the other legends throughout history? Alvarez has a better resume than Roberto Duran? Ray Robinson? Manny Pacquiao? I don't think so, but to each their own.
I just said"if he beats several more champs at his weight classes" thats not me saying he already is,but think about it nelo is a few fights away from having unified multiple divisions & having faced all the top names around his weight class. And just because floyd had that many title fights doesn't mean much if he didn't do what nelo is on the cusp of doing if he were to beat lets say 4 more champs in the 3 weights hes competing in. He already has won like 14 titles,if he was to beat Andrade & Beterbieve that would already mean he basically cleaned out both mw /lhw & nelos a midget. Floyd avoided bigger fighters most his career. Nelo has beaten 4 fighters that qualified as lineal matches & won them,if he beats Beterbieve he would have beaten 5 & become undisputed or unified in 3 divisions,if he beats bivol also that would be absolutely mind-boggling

Canelo already taxxed that azz. Ggg is overrated; he needs to move up to 168 and call out andre ward!

the guy actively pursued old and retired froch and actually signed his name to a contract to face lazy chavez jr at 168

Your whore of a mother is a ****** fat louse with brittle fanny flaps.

Lara couldn't fight on hbo which ggg was fighting on at the time lara wanted it on showtime knowing that couldn't happen.
Ward and Lara are boring runners and clinchers with zero fan base.

More importantly, they were just talking for publicity purposes and knew that their "offers" couldn't be accepted.

Ward is the one who ducked Golovkin when HBO offered him to fight GGG a couple years ago, and GGG accepted. Ward preferred to fight Rodriguez instead.

Second... Bullshltkin refused that fight in 36 minutes flat...

Roc Nation: GGG's Team Turned Down Ward in 36 Minutes
" We put an official offer on the table and we got a 'no' in 36 minutes.... The only way you respond in 36 minutes is if you had no intention of ever fighting this guy. That's what 36 minutes tells you. Because if they did had a desire to fight Andre, they would have responded with 'thank you for your offer, we're going to discuss this with our fighter and get back to you.' That's typically how it's done. You don't respond in 36 minutes."

Golovkin & Ward: Who Is Ducking Who?
"Whatever you think of Golovkin the fighter, there is a serious mismatch here between his team’s words and their deeds, whereas judging Ward by his upcoming test next weekend, the reverse is true."

also, Golovkin clearly ducked Lara... like Curt said, Lara was willing to fight at 160, and he would have been Golovkin's best opponent to date... if you were not around back then, then your opinion does not matter now

And may the best man win.
I agree with you. The problem is Canelo insisted that Golovkin has to have a title or there is no fight. Golovkin did that and he needs to keep it according to the Canelo camp. Some are claiming that a unification preempts a manditory obligation but the IBF has to approve it. One criteria is it has to be the preeminant champion of another organization. Is Canelo a preeminant champion. I'd say no. That would be Charlo since the WBC gave his title to Charlo and gave Canelo the Franchise Belt. Does the IBF recognize the franchise belt as a legitimate belt?? The chances that IBF doesn't find Canelo suitable enough to trump Golovkin's manditory obligation is remote. On the other hand they stripped both Golovkin and Canelo of their titles and they are very strict about manditory defenses. The Franchise Belt holder doesn't have any manditory fights so why would the IBF recognize it as a preeminent title. It's better to just get his manditory out of the way to clear a path for a rematch with Canelo. At this point it's all about the money and pressure on both men from DAZN to make this fight.

                Golovkin is 38 in April.

He has looked sub-par in his last two fights.

                Draw your own conclusions.

Not thrilled about a trilogy especially when canelo has already beat ggg clean, and ggg has unfinished business with derevyanchenko, who beat and battered him. ggg needs to rematch chenko. ggg has never been a draw in dazn as well.
