I think that in those loses that Tarver caught Jones with a lucky shot and when Jones got up to beat the count which he did, Jay Nady stopped the fight. I beleive that if the fight continued Jones would have one that and would have had enought confidence to actually fight Glen Johnson.

Not everyone calls Jones a saftey fighter first.

Jones won most of his fights because of his speed and power, his defense was never that good.

Well, he clearly hasn't been the same since the McClellan tragedy.

Maybe its because he does not look for the KO unnecessarily. He seems to do what is right to him.

If the fight continued Jones would've been seriously hurt, no way he would've survived, I personally can't stand Nady, but I think that was the right call.

Hmm, he could make a man miss without even starting to pull his upper body back until the punch was halfway to landing. That's not good defense? He was playing with competent professionals. He could also block and parry when need be (but very rarely need be).

Yeah that was a good friend of his and he said that in a interview and in beyond the glory that he didn't want to kill nobody or hurt them. So he said that he don't go to the head a lot.

Nope that has nothing do with defense, Jones was never a great defensive boxer, most people feared Jones power, that's why no one took a chance to attack him during his prime.
