That Golovkin contract is a huge financial anchor weighing DAZN down.

Canelo at least brings in media attention and revenue when he fights. Regardless of opponent.

Ok give me the numbers then. How many subs did Canelo bring in. How many signed up for his fights then cancelled. I think both contracts were a poor business plan by DAZN.

When will all of those saying"Dazn needs ggg v nelo" learn?

Ggg just uses it as an excuse to fight smaller guys who have been beaten already &/or aren't/won't be champions he has every advantage over( like he had over Deryev on paper but then had to rob anyways, which is why he'll face nobodies here on out).

It makes zero sense to think Dazn isn't much better off having ggg fight nobodies he can ko like this next no hoper szeremeta whos much smaller than ggg & whoms a featherfisted never will be with Literally nothing to suggest hes even c level. Hes Literally no better than tom Schwartz/otto wallin.

And that's perfect for Dazn because they are not a ppv service, therefore gggs 30k fans will make Dazn much more money if ggg DOESN'T fight Canelo & get kod. If he does get kod then those subs won't just subscribe anymore to watch him fight bums in meaningless fights. But if he keeps saying hell ko nelo this time, his rabid fanbase will continue subbing to DAZN. Same thing goes for Andrade who they've invested tons of money on already,DAZN loses money if their highest paid stars cancel each others appeal out by Nelo beating them. Its 3 separate revenue streams if DAZN doesn't let them fight til later in contract's.

          hard luck for DAZN

          you live and learn

it has ALWAYS been clearly obvious that Team Golovkin take the easiest fight possible

          it has never not happened

he had to be ordered to fight Jacobs and Derevyanchenko... and they put up sooooo many roadblocks during the Jacobs negotiation that it cost them a fight date over 250k

DAZN were given awful advice when it came to negotiating Golovkins contract... next time Skipper, look before you leap

Golovkin last fight is a fight of the year candidate while Canelo flops every time he enters the ring, they waste money on ginger I'd say.

Folks literally need to stfu and stop counting other people’s money. Let these fighters get their money. You are worth whatever you negotiate to earn. You got others earning so little that they have to work full time job, it’s about time fighters get their due and if dazn and pbc want to pay their guys more than you think they are worth that’s nobodies business.

It's a good fight. Neither champion Andrade or champion Jermall have ever fought a middleweight ranked that high by Ring. You know if it were up to him GGG would be fighting Canelo but Canelo wants none of that. GGG just had a life and death war with Dervy. Let him have a fight with a high rated guy who can't punch. He is 37 not 27 and is not going to fight a killer every fight. Canelo had two recent cherry picks with 15 to 1 underdog fall down Fielding and 5 to 1 underdog Kovalev. Maybe it's time for Canelo to take a real risk and fight Callum Smith, Bivol or Beterbiev.
                Clenelo stans will ignore this.....

Based upon what. Not wiping the floor with Canelo, Jacobs or a guy most people (myself included) really underestimated in Sergei Derevychenko.

If GGG struggles with this Polish dude next then I'd agree.

Szeremata was a choice before Rolls, Team GGG chose Rolls. DAZN commentary stated this. Szeremata beat Sulecki in the ams. I guess Team GGG wanted a safer tuneup with Rolls after he took the Canelo beating.
