Stop it dude. You claimed all Loma wanted was to unify and make history. Then he and Bob worked with the WBC to give him the emeritus title designation which ended his chance at unifying the division and, worse, allowed him to avoid fighting Haney.

You should be man enough to criticize Loma for this and admit you were wrong about his intentions.

Just a technical heads up, my man, but I've noticed you call it an emeritus championship about 5 or 6 times and whilst everyone knows what you mean (which is all that actually matters), an emeritus award is one given by tradition and definition to someone who is retired.

EDIT : though I'm noting with a little embarassment the WBC have given it to a coupla guys prior to retirement, and in terms of import (ie it's a lifetime award and can't be won or lost in the ring) it ain't much different so you ain't really far from the mark. Mikey and Bellew got it after changing divisions for instance and Kessler got it after retiring from the Super Six. I don't think the Emeritus designation allows you to call yourself a world champion in whichever division you fight, though, but I could be wrong.

Pretty sure it just started off for retirees (which is what an emeritus award means to the rest of the world) but seeing how it's evolved over the years it's looking now much like they were early experiments with what would emerge as the Franchise championship.

Loma's got 3 of the 4 titles and is going for the 4th. That is handling the competition. He's top dog and that's why everybody wants to fight him. 6 months ago, Lopez was crying. Now Haney is crying. These guys want to get their shot by crying. Even Davis is all talk until I see different. Well, we will see. Loma can only fight one guy at a time.
