No question Loma takes Haney. He opens himself to shots, and Loma has too quick of an eye - he could diagnose Haney in three rounds and exploit those openings all night. That said, there aint't no shame in losing to someone as good as Lomachenko, much respect to anyone willing to stand with him.
Exactly. Canelo improved tremendously losing to Floyd as a young fighter. It is how fighters get better. its worse to put young guys in against fighters they "should look great against" and chide them when they do not do so.
Are people that daft? You have a young kid... your asking him not to win but to make sure he looks superb doing so... And then going on this to gauge whom he should fight.
Every one is different. Some guys like Tommy Morrison, or Nando, were at a perfect age where they were fed a steady diet of guys en route to a nice run...But they were getting a little older, and one could see a logical trajectory for them with their skill sets, etc.
Haney is a kid. He is so young that the best thing to do for him is to let him fight anyone. Let him get that experience against a great fighter, let him lose a fight en route to perfecting his skill sets.
What many are proposing is to aimlessly let this kid kick around...That is ****** and dangerous. and NOBODY can predict this kid's ability yet. You can see that Haney has a strong corner, support from the ground up, a good attitude, and needs to be challenged more than being put under a microscope against fighters he SHOULD look good against.
Why are so many posters so against giving this kid an opportunity against a great fighter? He seems a lot more motivated than Tank. Tank seem more than happy to come along slowly and piss away his younger years.
The logic in boxing today. Sign with a rival promoter, immediately start calling out a fighter from another stable. This is like a guy signing with Bellator and immediately calling out UFC guys.
meanwhile Haney defends his title in mandatory, there for fights someone top 10.
then both will collide in a decent event, 2nd part of 2020.
meanwhile Gervonta still watching from the side, and barking sometimes towards better fighters. knowing he aint sh/t.
What does Tank have to do with this? Is it cuz l0m0 going to move back down to avoid Devin AND Tank? If l0m0 does THAT then I expect ya'll to call him out on it BUT of course ya'll won't
