He also beat Lemieux, who isn’t great, but was still a world class fighter, former champ and legit top 10 in the division at the time, and he beat him without breaking a sweat in one of the biggest schoolings you will see.

Saunders resume isn’t great, nobody is saying that. But he’s proven he can beat world level fighters and do it well. We also know he can look average too.

All i’m saying is he isn’t a fighter that you can judge where he’s at right now on one performance, because he blows hot and cold like that. His next performance he could look great, it’s just how he is.
Lee also got TKO’d by Julio “I get High” Chavez Jr.

The Fury that fought Hammer should really get smashed by Wlad.

If anyone knows anything about boxing and followed BJS and his career, it’s pointless judging him on fights like this. He’s a fairly lazy fighter at times and drops and raises his level according to opposition, like Fury does. They’ve always been that way.

It’s not great viewing. If Saunders fights Canelo, you will see a totally different fighter, win or lose.

Also, nobody really knows how good or bad his opponent is. His opponent was undefeated, he might be from argentina and not really fought anyone, but nobody had beat him so there’s no performances of other fighters victories over him to compare with. There was a time when even great fighters were undefeated and never faced anyone good, so we can’t just assume a guy is no good because he hasn’t faced anyone of note. For all we know, maybe that opponent would give other good SMW’s a decent fight, there was no defeats on his record to say that he wouldn’t.
You can’t keep getting “gifts” against BUMS.

I used to say the exact same BS about D. Garcia he fights based on his opponents level. Worked for awhile but eventually caught up. Just like it will with Saunders. He probably already would have a loss if he didn’t try and cheat against Andrade.

Maybe it will, but so what? Losing at the top level doesn’t matter as much as fans think. Someone has to lose.

Danny Garcia is still a world class fighter. He’s never really been dominated or outclassed at the top level. Having a couple of losses is no shame.

Maybe Saunders will fight the top guys and lose sometimes, but i believe he has the ability to be competitive in those fights and that’s all that matters for viewers, good competitive fights.

My point is basically Saunders is never consistent, so i believe put him in with Canelo and you’ll see a much better fighter, regardless of the result.

Yeah, I was surprised how many time Saunders got tagged in there. Normally when I see him, he's inactive offensively and elusive defensively in the ring. I watched 10 rounds of it and fast forwarded to the next fight. Missed the stoppage in the 11th but it really doesn't matter.

BJS provided surprises both good and bad here. I couldn't believe how pedestrian he looked against a supposedly low level opponent, but then I've never seen him display KO power like that before - especially so late into the fight. Says a lot about what desperation can stir up within a person.
