"Those guys have to build legacies, take and win tough fights and make the fans demand the fight. They can fight each other."
The way I see it, there is absolutely NO excuse for Canelo ducking them.

HOWEVER, there is also no excuse for THEM ducking other tough fighters and sitting around waiting for Canelo to give them a payday instead of building their own legacies.

Kovalev didn't take a dive, because... he has been on the floor ever since the Ward rematch. I love the Krusher, watched all his fights, but not once did he fully invest himself in a 1-2 combo during the whole fight against Canelo. He knew he could never win, unless he got the KO, but he just didn't believe in himself enough to go for it. He just tried to survive... and cash in.

CBS Sports has Canelo at #1 as well. Have you heard of them?

espn and boxing writers association of America don't have him 1st. So the main point is, people trying to pretend as if it's cut and dry that Canelo is #1 are fooling themselves and sound desperate. It's subjective and while some people may be overly impressed with him moving up to beat Kovalev, other feel that Kovalev was 36 yrs old, damaged goods, was ko'd twice in the last 2 yrs (now 3) and worn down from fighting just 10 weeks earlier. Kind of why Canelo was a 5-1 favorite.

ESPN is in business with Top Rank. So we can dismiss their rankings just like you dismissed the Ring rankings, right?

I would’ve given Breadman an A+ had he included the word “Dives” in his thread title as practical as when he includes “PEDS” in his titles.

Nobody in the thread, and the rampant posters on this site, have challenged that Breadman said Kova didn’t take a Dive.

you conveniently ignored my other post where I addressed your b***hing and whining about donaire as compared to Kovalev. Donaire came with real intent to win while Kovalev looked like a dead man. Not to mention, inoue vs donaire was a fight if the yr candidate. Canelo vs Kovalev looked like a glorified sparring session. That's why donaire vs inoue has gotten a more positive buzz. Stop your crying. All you do is whine about why don't people love and idolize Canelo as much as you do. I've also already told you what opponents I'd consider good other options for Canelo's next fight and it's a list of about 7 guys. But he could pick Gabe Rosado and you'd still be juggling his nuts.
